| COMPANY PROFILE: RHEOCHEM PLC NEWSTRACK OFEX PROFILE 24/08/2004 Rheochem Limited ("Rheochem" or the "Company") is an Australian public company established in 1995 with its headquarters in Perth. The Company operates internationally and specializes in the provision of chemical consulting services and chemical supply to the resources industry. In 1999, Rheochem purchased and restructured Independent Drilling Fluid Services Pty Ltd, a company supplying chemicals and engineering services to the oil and gas industry since 1988. Rheochem supplies the majority of the Australian onshore oil and gas exploration drilling fluids market. In January 2004, construction was completed of the Company"s purpose built blending and storage facility in Dampier, on the north west coast of Australia, and Rheochem has since started providing services to the more lucrative offshore market. The Company has recently extended its onshore contract with Australia"s largest onshore oil and gas producer to May 2008. Its offshore supply contract runs until November 2005. Rheochem"s mining division client list includes many of the major international resource groups. In 2001, Rheochem established a joint venture in Nigeria with a reservoir engineering group known as VRMT Well Services Limited which is 51% owned by Rheochem. In 2004, Rheochem established a 100% owned subsidiary, Rheochem Pacific Limited, in New Zealand and has commenced tendering for contracts. Source: The Company |
